SYNC SPEEDRS TEAM

NINTH PLACE FOR VIETTI AT THE BRAZILIAN GP, FOGGIA TWENTY-THIRD

Sunday at the Brazilian GP began with qualifying, which determined the starting grid for the afternoon race. Vietti, who performed well in Q2, set the eighth fastest time, securing a start from the third row. More difficult qualifying for Foggia, who was unable to get through Q1 and therefore started from the eighth row.

The race, which began a few hours after qualifying with a slight delay of ten minutes compared to the scheduled time, was immediately very competitive. Celestino placed himself in the leading group from the early stages, staying in the fight with the top seven. However, contact with a rider behind him forced him to run wide, causing him to drop back in the standings. From seventeenth position, he then began a solid and consistent comeback, climbing the standings lap after lap until finishing in ninth place.

A more difficult race instead for Dennis. Starting from twenty-third on the grid, number 8 managed to recover positions up to eighteenth place, but in the second half of the race, arm pain compromised his pace, forcing him to drop back and cross the finish line in twenty-third position.

The team now leaves Brazil and is already looking ahead to the next round of the championship, scheduled for next weekend with the United States GP, from March 27 to 29.

CELESTINO VIETTI #13: P9
“It was a good Sunday, I’m happy that we confirmed the speed and positive feeling we had throughout the weekend. Unfortunately, this morning, on the lap where we could have taken the front row, I made a mistake and starting further back, with today’s heat and on a track where it’s difficult to overtake, compromised the race a bit. In the race we started strong, we had gained one or two positions, but then another contact, as unfortunately often happens, made me lose many positions and from there I tried to recover as much as possible without making mistakes. All in all, it was a positive weekend. We could definitely have achieved more, but the contact compromised everything. We take the positives and go to America with good feelings, trying to do our best. Thanks as always to the whole team for the work this weekend”.

DENNIS FOGGIA #8: P23
“I’m sorry about the race because after about 10 laps I started to suffer a lot with arm pain and we lost positions. However, looking at the lap times, the pace was quite good and we could have easily been in the points. This was my first Moto2 race after two years in which I hadn’t raced in this category, so it was also a weekend of adaptation and approach. I thank the team for the work done and see you in America”.
